Limericks — Passport2Pain

Checkpoint Limericks

Each checkpoint gets a theme and a limerick from its sponsor. They read better when you're exhausted halfway up Burma Road.

Monty Python & the Holy Grail

Checkpoint #1 — Shawnee
There was a black knight in the wood Who said "None shall pass" (cuz he could!) As each limb fell away The Knight would then say "Tis but a flesh wound, I'm good"
Checkpoint #2 — Pohl Road
African swallows fly fast The ground that they cover is vast Add coconuts, though? Those birds get quite slow! In a race, they would finish dead last.
Checkpoint #5 — Cove Motel
There once were the Knights Who Say "Ni" Who ask that you cut down a tree You can't use a wedge Or an ax or a sledge You must use a herring, you see
Lunch Stop — Pandora's Box
There at the mouth of a cave Killer rabbits will challenge the brave Not just a cute bunny Those rabbits aren't funny! They'll put you right into your grave!
Checkpoint #11 — VCA
In a time of kings and round tables Comes a tale that defies all the labels It's a quest for a grail By knights in chainmail It's simply the wildest of fables.
Jensen Point — Finish
These limericks have had a nice run We've had us some Holy Grail fun But we needed one more To finish the chore So "BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!" (Are we done?)

2024 Limericks

You're now on a part of our isle Where shipbuilding ruled for a while But change came to pass The biz ran out of gas But we still have old pics in a file!
You've been at this awhile but ahead Come the hills that fill many with dread Evil twins are about "This blows!" you will shout In fact, f-bombs may burst from your head
Soon you will grab a quick lunch Even though you've been eating a bunch As the calories burn You quickly do learn All this food really does pack a punch!
Here comes the park Lisabeula Don't let the rough pavement fool ya The view is sublime The treats will be prime When you're through you will say "hallelujah!"
There once was this idiot Bill Who rode with a friend we'll call Phil "Though my legs are aflame" He was heard to exclaim, "There's a taco feast after this hill!!!"
