Directions & Parking

There's no bridge. There's a ferry. Check the schedule before you leave — they fill up on ride day and you will be standing on the dock in your kit feeling the specific foolishness of that situation.

Taking the Ferry

Three routes serve Vashon Island. Check schedules carefully. Ferries fill up on event days. Biking on skips the car line entirely and is always the right call.

From Seattle (North End)

Fauntleroy (West Seattle) → Vashon north end. Park near Lincoln Park. Bike on to avoid the return ferry lines.

From Tacoma (South End)

Point Defiance → Vashon south end (Tahlequah). Good option from the south. Parking next to Anthony's restaurant.

Point Defiance Schedule →

From Kitsap Peninsula

Southworth → Vashon north end. Parking next to the terminal. Good for Kitsap-side riders.

Ferry Shuttle

We run shuttles from the ferry docks to Jensen Point and back. Eliminates car-on-ferry stress entirely. Select at registration.

North End: Vashon Ferry Dock ↔ Jensen Point  |  South End: Tahlequah Dock ↔ Jensen Point

Where to Park

Jensen Point has limited parking. Please follow these guidelines — P2P's good relationship with the community depends on it.

Off-Island Riders

  1. Carpool and park at a ferry dock lot, then bike on. Skips the vehicle return lines entirely.
  2. If driving on-island, use Lewis Hall parking first.
  3. If Lewis Hall is full, park on the Burton Loop — but do not block driveways or mailboxes.

On-Island Riders

  1. Best option: get dropped off at the Burton Coffee Stand area.
  2. Otherwise, park on Burton Hill — wide shoulders on 107th Ave SW and nearby streets.

From Pat Call, P2P Chair: Passport2Pain has been a success because it involves our whole community. Lowering the burden on our closest neighbors is an important part of developing that good will. Thank you.
